General Info

If you’re wandering through New Orleans and craving a relaxed coffee spot with personality, Mojo Coffee Roasters is one of those places that instantly feels right. Tucked along Tchoupitoulas Street, this coffee shop blends a cozy atmosphere with a menu that keeps things simple yet satisfying.

Walking in, the first thing that stands out is the aroma-rich, bold, and unmistakably fresh. The coffee here is the main attraction, and it shows. Whether you’re ordering a smooth espresso or their standout cold brew, each cup feels carefully crafted. The cold brew, in particular, has a clean, refreshing finish that makes it perfect for New Orleans’ warm days.

The menu isn’t overly complicated, which actually works in its favor. Alongside their great coffee, you’ll find a few sweet treats that pair perfectly with your drink. The cheesecake is a quiet star-creamy, balanced, and just indulgent enough without being heavy. It’s the kind of dessert that complements your coffee rather than overpowering it.

One of the things that makes this spot memorable is its seating setup. There’s a mix of indoor and outdoor seating, so you can choose your vibe depending on the day. The outdoor seating is especially inviting-ideal for people-watching or just enjoying a slow morning. Inside, the space leans cozy, with a laid-back feel that encourages you to stay a while, whether you’re catching up with friends or getting through some work.

Service here feels natural and unforced. It’s not overly formal, but it’s attentive enough that you never feel overlooked. That balance adds to the overall experience, making it easy to settle in and enjoy your time.

From a reviewer’s perspective, Mojo Coffee Roasters isn’t trying to be flashy. Instead, it focuses on doing the basics really well-great coffee, a comfortable setting, and a menu that delivers exactly what you want from a neighborhood coffee shop. Reviews often highlight the consistency, and after spending time here, it’s easy to see why.

For anyone exploring coffee spots in New Orleans, this location stands out not just for its drinks, but for the overall experience it offers. It’s the kind of place you return to, not because it surprises you, but because it reliably gets everything right.

What customers say?

“ Best flat white I’ve had so far in NOLA. This is a laid back coffee shop and roastery in a Quonset hut with a variety of seating options. Kind baristas. Not too crowded or noisy. Protein bars and homemade pastries. For non-coffee drinkers they offer a matcha latte and some bottled or canned options. ”

“ Loved it! This is such a cool space to sit and do some work while you get a peak into the roastery. Extra points for comfy chairs. My coffee was delicious and service was excellent. ”

“ Stopped in on a particularly gloomy and gross wet day in NOLA. This coffee cheered both my wife and I up. I enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. They roast their coffee beans and package them at this location. Very cool that you can see the full operation from your seat. ”

- Jeff Thompson -

“ Delicious small roastery, exceptional flavor in their espresso (so good my husband got two of them)! I enjoyed the New Orleans cold brew, their cold brew with a shot of chicory. We’ll be back! ”

- Kelly Francois -

“ Really neat place with seating inside and out , small but with probably 8-10 tables or so, really reasonable prices and delicious coffee. We got the cold brew and frozen latte and both were really good and perfect on a hot June morning. Definitely going to be a regular spot for us. ”

- Corey Gardner -

“ We love mojo! The staff is always super friendly, the coffee is amazing, and the vibes are on point haha! Great place to study or just to hang out. Spiced pecan latte is so festive for the holidays! ”

- Kendra Wilson -

“ Best coffee in New Orleans! Staff is fantastic and their coffee is absolutely amazing! ”

- Andrew Thiermann -

“ First time visiting! The barista was very nice and explained anything that I had questions about. Very clean (including bathroom). Cozy inside with a small seating area outside with wooden patio furniture, ferns and baby palms and patio umbrellas. Mojo is built with corrugated metal in a half moon shape. Kind of reminds me of a fallout shelter! Retro feel! Will definitely be back! Ordered: I Ed mocha w/almond milk. They also have kombucha, Pellegrino sodas and Topo Chico in the fridge! Visited: 12.13.22 @1pm ”
